Datadog vs. KloudMate
Learn why Dev & Ops teams derive significantly higher value from KloudMate, as compared to Datadog, in 2024.
Datadog
Datadog was started in 2010, as a cloud infrastructure monitoring service, with dashboards, alerting, and visualization of metrics. As cloud adoption increased, Datadog grew rapidly and expanded its product offering to cover service providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenStack.
The user interface includes customizable dashboards that can show graphs composed of multiple data sources in real-time. Datadog can also send users notifications of performance issues on any set metric, such as compute rates. Users are notified through means such as email, Slack or PagerDuty.
KloudMate
KloudMate is a OpenTelemetry native, open-standard based full-stack APM platform, that is available as a SaaS, as well as a managed on-prem offering. Founded in 2021, the platform has seen significant growth since inception, given it's ease of implementation and intuitive UX.
The platform is purpose-built for observability of microservices-based distributed applications and systems, for modern engineering teams.
With a done-for-you approach, users can quickly create custom dashboards, analyze logs, trace requests, monitor errors, set up alarms, and obtain powerful insights about the performance of their applications.
